YPA writes a letter to Chief Justice to take action against DRAP over the issue of masks export to China

The Pakistan Young Pharmacist Association has sent a letter to thehe CJ of the Supreme Court and accused DRAP on the issue of exporting masks to China.

The letter says, “The deputy director of Drap, Asim Ali Khan. CEO Drap, Asim Rauf and the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Dr Zafar Mirza issued six permits to re-export facemasks and  protective gear to china by receiving PKR 10 million in the form of bribes for each permit.”

The letter further stated, “At the moment there is an acute shortage of protection and facemasks throughout Pakistan as even hospital staff and Law Enforcement Authorities are not getting protection. When doctors, nurses and paramedical staff is not being protected, then how they will treat patients.”

The CEO also stated in the letter, “If you would give me any slightest evidence that a single face mask has been sent out of Pakistan, we will take exemplary action against the accused.” However, when the Association provided evidence, the CEO said, “These permits were issued on the request of the Chinese Embassy.”

Letter to the PM

The second letter was written to the PM to provide masks to the police, hospital staff and teachers to save themselves from coronavirus.

The letter reads, “ It is most humbly prayed  for the provision of immediate facemasks, protections and training to all LEAs (Police, FIA, IB, ASF, ANF) hospital staff ( doctors, nurses, pharmacists, paramedical staff) and teachers (school teachers, college professors, university professors) to save themselves from the coronavirus and to help others.”
