It is believed that The Legend of Maula Jatt will be the most expensive Pakistani movie ever.

Pakistani television actress Zara Noor Abbas revealed that she rejected a role in the upcoming movie, The Legend of Maula Jatt, directed and written by Bilal Lashari, in a conversation with Haroon Rashid of BBC Asian Network.

The Dharkan actress shared that she was offered a role in the upcoming remake of the Maula Jatt opposite Fawad Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi. But she rejected the role for being ‘very secondary to Humaima and Mahira.’

“It was a role which was very secondary to Humaima and Mahira, it was the third role and not at all the ones given to them, and that is why I thought it was better not to do something in which I may not be even seen.”

The Legend of Maula Jatt is the remake of the 1979 film Maula Jatt. Although the film was set to be released on Eid al-Fitr, it was delayed for certain reasons. The film cast Fawad Khan and Hamza Ali Abbasi as the lead characters of Maula Jatt and Noori Natt, respectively.

It is believed that The Legend of Maula Jatt will be the most expensive Pakistani movie ever.
