This step has been taken under its China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) initiatives.
According to a press release issued by Zong 4G, the telecom company has introduced unlimited calls to China. This step has been taken under its China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) initiatives.
Two call bundles have been launched by the company to make international direct calling to China easier and cost-friendly. These bundles include a weekly offer for prepaid customers, costing Rs. 250 (plus tax). The other is a monthly package for postpaid and prepaid customers and is priced at Rs. 750 (plus tax).
“The China bundles have been developed to suit both pre-paid and post-paid customers and will provide ease to both private and business customers by enabling calls to China at the lowest rates in the industry,” the statement read.
“As the connectivity partner for CPEC, Zong 4G has undertaken many initiatives and the launch of this bundle is in-line with our strategy of connecting both private and corporate customers,” it added.
CPEC is considered as a framework for regional connectivity and is a part of Beijing’s Belt and Road Initiative.
Pakistan and China have started numerous projects under the $50 billion-plus investment. These projects include road, air and rail linkages between the two countries. Other than that, it links China’s Xinjiang region to the Gwadar port. This will make it the world’s second-largest economy direct access to the Arabian Sea.
